SIR automatic bar feeders are designed to be installed in place of the stock reel of multispindle lathes, simultaneously providing functions of loading, bar feeding, and also remnant recovery management.
Experience, high precision design, and careful selection of materials ensure feeders in the SIR series are innovative and at the cutting-edge of technology.
An IEMCA patent provides for the simultaneous presence of 4 guide channels of different diameters on the feeder, with the facility to switch between channels in a matter of minutes thereby maximizing production flexibility.
All models feature the possibility of independent bar spool guidance, ideal for simultaneous guiding of bars and bar pushers in the most suitable channel.
The guide channels, made of a special compound featuring excellent wear resistance, are designed to absorb mechanical stress transmitted by the bar, while bar rotation is stabilised by means of a generous flow of oil delivered directly into the guide channels.
Bar feeding in each channel is provided by independent hydraulic motors, with the facility to manage feed movements from several stations.
The SIR line of feeders is composed of model SIR25, ideal for guiding bars from 4 to 25 mm in diameter, SIR36 for bar diameters from 5 to 36 mm, and SIR52 for bar diameters from 10 to 52 mm.
