Description

An environmentally friendly solution for low and zero Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) interior and exterior decorative paints. If you are looking for ways to reduce resin content in decorative paints, our Eco-Phyl is a versatile filler that can cut costs and environmental impact. It is a naturally occurring blend of mica, quartz and chlorite that combines the attributes of each of its component minerals: the lamellarity of mica and chlorite with the hardness of quartz. It has a lamellar particle shape that improves the mechanical properties and the weather resistance of paints and coatings, which allows you to reduce the amount of resin in your mix, increasing the matting effect, lowering levels of VOCs without reducing the scrub resistance or weather resistance. Eco-Phyl is also Ecolabel-compliant, as it’s derived from chemically inert minerals that are simply ground to achieve a specific particle distribution size. We don’t use additives so all Eco-Phyl products are also exempt from EU REACH registration. In interior decorative paints, Eco-Phyl improves matting, significantly enhances scrub resistance, reduces cracking and enables resin reduction. In exterior decorative paints, it improves crack resistance at higher film thickness, improves elasticity of the paint film, enhances long-term weather resistance, reduces chalking and enhances colour stability. Key benefits Improved matting Weather resistance EC Ecolabel compliant
