Easy to operate and maintain, they consist in rectangular filtering leaves with different dimensions, which are mounted (vertically or horizontally) on an outlet manifold in a pressure tank. The filtering elements filter through both sides. These leaves can be the final filtration media but typically use Diatomaceous Earth (DE) as a pre-coat and/or body feed to improve filtration rate and product clarity. On the top, the leaves are held by a vibrating shaft . A mechanical vibrator driven by electric motor/pneumatic vibrator is provided for vibrating the leaf shaft for cake discharge. Jacket for hot filtration can be offered if desired. Both the vessel and the leaf are available in a wide variety of options and materials.
