Description

CAPACITY Up to 900.000 m3/year POWER CONSUMPTION ∼ 10 – 30 kWh/m3 In the EMCL System (Mechanical Evaporation with Heat Recovery in Liquid), evaporation is enhanced by heating the wastewater. This system is more efficient in taking advantage of residual thermal energy, although this does not apply to wastewater with high volatile content, such as leachate from andfills. The system is modular and the number of evaporators is designed according to the discharge to be treated, the thermal energy available, and the local climate. It is an evaporative process based on the capacity of the ambient air to absorb water from an effluent. The evaporation capacity is enhanced by recovering residual heat and minimizing dependence on climate conditions (temperature and relative humidity). It is particularly recommended for making use of residual thermal energy. We have numerous references in the treatment of leachates and wastewater from the Chemical and Agri-food industries.
