Abrasive segment

Industrial Friction Materials Ltd supply manufactured friction segments to our customers needs from CAD drawings, samples & specifications that they provide. There are many different types of friction segments we supply such as drilled, non-drilled, radiused, non-radiused, grooved or non-grooved in any size. These are machined from high quality friction sheets in various materials such as moulded, woven & Kevlar with coefficient of friction to the applications needs. We offer a relining service were we strip off the worn friction segments & refit our high quality friction segments to the drive plates of the clutches & brakes supplied. There are a number of processes that are used to fix the friction segments into place such as thermal bonding, riveting & screwing. The type of process that’s used is determined on the customers & applications needs.
