Industrial Friction Materials Ltd supplies kevlar friction materials that have extremely low abrasion rate, low wear rate, and is oil resistant. It contains no metal particles and performs well both wet and dry. It is available in semi-flexible rolls and in rigid flat sheets. It lasts at least three to five times longer than asbestos, sintered bronze and other original equipment facings. It will not abrade, scratch or score the opposing metal surface. It also engages far more smoothly and more quietly than other friction facings.
KEVLAR ROLLS
Kevlar roll materials are very flexible. They have a high friction level and are used on tensioning devices, magnetic brakes and clutches with great success.
KEVLAR SHEETS
Kevlar sheet materials are of rigid composition with extremely low wear rate characteristics. It is supplied ground on both sides. Kevlar sheet materials are suitable for tensioning units, overload and slip applications.
