The holding/channel furnace is one of the key pieces of equipment in iron foundry plants. The quality of the lining is of great importance. Our refractory products guarantee maximum bath temperature maintenance, but also offer high corrosion resistance.
An inductor lining must have the following properties:
Melting point higher than the furnace body.
Low porosity and high density.
Chemically it must be compatible with the melted metal.
Its electrical conductivity must be very low.
Easy to line and sinter.
