Instrument Systems integrating sphere ISP 150 is ideally suited to determination of the transmission and degree of reflection of diffusely scattering samples. The design of the ISP 150 satisfies the requirements of Standard DIN 5036 for diffuse reflection measurements with regard to the internal diameter, measurement port and angle of incidence. The coating of the ISP 150 consists of barium sulfate.
Diffuse reflection measurements in acc. with DIN 5036
150 mm inside diameter
25 mm measurement port
8° angle of incidence
Barium sulfate coating with 80% degree of reflection
Several ports for the test sample, fiber connections, halogen lamp and gloss trap
Due to its universal setup, the ISP 150 can be quickly and easily reconfigured for different measurement geometries. With the replaceable gloss trap the user specifies whether or not the directed beam portion is to be taken into account in the measurement.
In the case of measurement geometries with diffuse lighting and for transmission, the supplied halogen light source is flanged directly onto the sphere. Illumination at 8° is, however, via an external light source of the LS 100 / LS 500 series connected by optical fiber to an optical collimator. The latter ensures a slightly convergent mapping of the incident beam on the sample.
