Description

Intel Atom® C processor, a system-on-a-chip (SoC) design, delivers efficient intelligence into smaller spaces at the network edge. Used in a variety of light scale-out workloads that require very low power, high density, and high I/O integration including network routers, switches, storage, security appliances, dynamic web serving, and more. Features and Performance for the C5000 Intel® QuickAssist Technology (Intel® QAT) Intel® QAT is our dedicated accelerator for compression and encryption operations, providing up to 100 Gbps crypto. Intel® QAT boosts performance for edge packet processing or network security appliances while freeing up CPU resources for other work. Intel® Ethernet 800 Series Technology Intel Ethernet 800 series technology provides up to 50 Gbps of throughput and supports advanced traffic handling features across packet types. Pin and Socket Compatible The Intel Atom® C5000 processors are socket and pin compatible with P5000 allowing scalability from 4 cores to 24 cores. Flexible Design to the Edge Intel Atom® C5000 has 4-8 cores and speeds of up-to 2.4 GHz on Networking and up-to 2.8 GHz on Storage variants. With 32-50 Watt Thermal Design Power (TDP) and improved integration capacity and throughput over the Intel Atom® C3000, these processors are very well suited for cost and power optimized networking and security appliances.
