INTROTEK® AD8 / AD9 air bubble detection sensors incorporate Introtek’s latest generation “MEC” pulse-type ultrasonic circuitry. The micro-controller based circuitry is located integrally in the sensor assembly. Custom algorithms to control functionality, such as response times, time delays and more can be designed at Introtek based on customer requirements. The AD8/ AD9 series sensors are one of the most commonly utilized air bubble detectors for patient connected devices worldwide.
Operating Principle
Introtek’s patented pulse-type ultrasonic technology provides highly reliable, non-invasive air detection capabilities in the most critical applications where the safety of a patient or process is mandatory. Many of the variables, which can affect performance of amplitude or continuous wave based sensing systems, are eliminated or greatly reduced, thus yielding accurate and repeatable detection.
