The individual axes are driven by servo motor with a recirculating ball drive of 10 mm pitch. To achieve very high load-bearing capabilities, each axis is fitted with four linear slots. In addition to this standard design, it is possible to combine all LES 5 linear units with each other by means of the crossbench connection plates.
