The SPS Safety Positioning System is a software and hardware solution for the management, control and safety of the movements of vehicles in classified and delimited sensitive areas. It provides services such as outdoor free tracking over long distances, restricted tracking over short distances with the need for higher data accuracy and certainty and tracking in closed areas (i.e. indoor) where GPS technology can be highly inaccurate.
The SPS system was created to monitor the movement of people and vehicles within industrial plants.
The identification TAGs are equipped with 2 radio technologies working simultaneously, to be used in all situations both with Sub-G protocol for communicating with the Dock-Gaetway and with UWB protocol for detecting positions over short distances.
The SPS system provides the following functionalities:
Listing in the registry for vehicles and men authorized to enter the facility
For each vehicle and / or person it’s possible to attach all authorization documents and manage deadlines (insurance, reviews, training, etc.)
Provide real-time graphic representation of the positioning of the various Assets (vehicles, men)
Registration of the movements that have taken place
Provide real-time positioning controls:
– route errors
– positioning errors
– unexpected moving away of the driver from the vehicle
– failure to respect deadlines
Provide a graphic representation of the movements available in the historical archive
Provide an alarm regarding the immobility of the Tag associated with a person
This security alarm can identify an illness or alternatively the removal of the TAG itself.
Provide the possibility of using TAGs as a messaging device
