Description

Bu-tylene TE 80 is a self-adhesive sealing tape consisting of a high-performance butyl rubber adhesive compound, protected by an aluminium coloured 80 µm Low Density Polyethylene film. Bu-tylene TE 80 is highly adhesive, even at low temperatures, to all common materials. The product must be protected from U.V. rays. Bu-tylene TE 80 is available in various sizes for multipurpose applications. Flexible and stretchable; Cold applied; Excellent adhesion at low temperatures; Waterproof and self-sealing; Excellent heat stability; No oil migration; Solvent-free. Uses Sealing and joining materials such as glass, steel, Plexiglas, polycarbonate, wood, aluminium, PVC. The LDPE film is stretchable and deformable, therefore Bu-tylene TE 80 is suitable for applications on irregular surfaces. Bu-tylene TE 80 is suitable for sealing and insulating of windows, piping and air ducting in construction and HVAC industry as well as anti-corrosive tape for underground pipes.
