The semi-automatic FORKARDT indexing chuck type HS was developed as an economical alternative to the fully automatic hydraulically operated FORKARDT indexing chuck type HSR. It is used in particular when machining frequently changes between indexing chuck typical applications and workpieces clamped in standard power chucks. The spindle-side connection dimensions of the chuck type HS are selected so that they correspond with standard power chucks such as the FORKARDT KT series. The actuating cylinders used do not need to be changed either. The connecting dimensions of the clamping inserts were largely adopted from the HSR, so that numerous tried and tested designs can be used for the workpiece holder.
