This powder-coated automatic pigment muller JEL 25/53-II serves to mull pigments that are in paste form in the laboratory. It is possible to conduct series of experiments with amounts of materials ranging form 3 to 7 g. Under identical circumstances, similar products could also be inspected. Mulling pigments serves to determine their consistency and/or their density or the color intensity of pigments.
Operation
To mull pigments in paste form, the desired pigment is applied to the lower glass slab. The upper glass slab is closed using a lever and weighted down with various weights to define the contact pressure of the glass slabs. The upper glass slab of the automatic pigment muller is fixed while the lower slab rotates.
