Automatic Brake
The brake employs an under-driven worm drive to the rope drum. Operated in a clockwise direction, the initial rotation engages the worm pinion and the wormwheel. The action is similar to a screw thread being engaged. Brakes respond automatically when the handle is released. Recoil is prevented and the load is held securely.
