Planishers remove weld build up without the use of abrasives. The weld is flattened into the parent material by a high pressure cold rolling action. RS3 and RS5 planishers are for longitudinal planishing of automated GTAW and PAW welds. The powered upper roll pulls the part through the machine during planishing. The system will planish flat sheets, cylinders, cones, square tubes and other shapes Planishers can be custom built to match your application The standard designs offer a planishing length ranging from 48 to 96 (1220 to 2440 mm) The standard systems can accommodate a part diameter ranging from 8 to 36 (200 to 915 mm). The minimum part diameter is dependent upon planisher length.RS3 For planishing materials up to 3/16 (4.8 mm) thick Maximum planishing force 13,000 lb (5900 kg)RS5 For planishing material up to 1/4 (6.3 mm) thick Maximum planishing force 20,000 lb (9075 kg)
