Modular encoder system U-ONE Generation I for position and speed monitoring Measurement directly on the application shaft, connection via 2 fiber optic cables to evaluation/function modules in the switchboard Programmable switches (speed / position) Description U-ONE Generation I (LWL) is the first generation of the proven universal encoder system for speed and position monitoring. The encoder system consists of a basic unit on the application shaft and function modules in the switchboard. The encoder signals are transmitted from the basic unit to the decoder module in the switchboard via two fiber optic cables – interference-free over distances of up to 1000 meters. The universal encoder system U-ONE replaces mechanical overspeed switches and mechanical cam limit switches with more precise electronic speed switches and position switches. The encoder system does not require distribution gears, distribution couplings or speed increasing gears. Components of the encoder system The U-ONE encoder system comprises a basic unit and function modules in the switchboard – this is the ideal solution when there is sufficient space in the switchboard and FOC transmission is possible.
