Robust optical rotary encoders with a wide variety of signal and device options
Suitable for larger shaft diameters
Options: speed switch, fiber optic transmitter, up to 3 attachments
Description
The optical rotary encoders FGH 8 with a through hollow shaft up to Ø 80 mm are suited for speed monitoring and speed measurement under severe environmental conditions. Thanks to their flat design, they are ideal for attaching additional sensors such as speed switches, absolute encoders or a combination of these. In addition, there is the possibility of a redundant design with two identical scanning systems and evaluation electronics.
The optical rotary encoders are attached directly onto the application shaft or to the application shaft by using a suitable adapter flange.
Reliable
The optical rotary encoders of the FGH 8 series offer a long service life and a very high level of reliability – even under severe ambient conditions.
Large bearings with high dynamic load rating
Extremely robust, thick-walled housing
High shock and vibration resistance
Compensation of large axial shaft movement
Saltwater-proof, wet areas in rolling mills
Tailor-made
The optical rotary encoders of the FGH 8 series offer a wide variety of device and signal options and can be supplemented by attaching up to 3 further encoders.
Second signal output (incremental)
Speed switch (optional)
FOC output (optional)
Safe
The modern electronics of the optical rotary encoders are characterized by electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). It is embedded in a robust, thick-walled housing.
Options: direction of rotation / standstill detection, isolated adapter flange
