Particularly robust multiturn absolute encoders for use in heavy industry
Suitable for wet areas in rolling mills and saline environments
Options: additional incremental output, up to 2 attachments
Description
The robust multiturn absolute encoders AM… 40 and AM…H 40 can be deployed in a wide variety of applications to detect positions and rotational speeds in rolling and steel mills, in mining operations as well as in ports and crane systems. They provide precise information about the position of the shaft and the number of revolutions. The multiturn absolute encoders are used, for example, in hoist gear applications to determine the exact position at all times.
Additional encoders can be easily attached to the second shaft end.
Tailor-made
The multiturn absolute encoders of the AM… 40 series offer several interfaces and the option of adding additional devices. They can be flexibly adapted to the area of application.
Second signal output (incremental)
Generously dimensioned terminal box
Connection options with a variety of connectors or cables
Saltwater-proof, wet areas in rolling mills
Suitable attachments and mounting service (optional)
Reliable
The multiturn absolute encoders of the AM… 40 series offer a very long service lifetime and high availability due to their robust design.
High shock and vibration resistance
Large bearings with high dynamic load rating
Hybrid bearings protect against shaft currents (hollow shaft)
Safe
The multiturn absolute encoders of the AM… 40 series are characterized by their thick-walled, robust housing, which very safely protects the state-of-the-art electronics.
Encapsulated electronics protected even when terminal box is open
