Modular encoder system for position and speed monitoring with built-on function modules directly on the application shaft Signal transmission to PLC via copper cable Up to 15 programmable switches (speed / position) Description U-ONE(-SAFETY)-Compact is the compact variant of the advanced second generation of the proven universal encoder system for speed and position monitoring. The compact encoder system consists of a basic unit on the application shaft with additional function modules directly attached. The universal encoder system U-ONE(-SAFETY)-Compact replaces mechanical cam limit switches and mechanical overspeed switches with more precise electronic position switches and speed switches. The encoder system does not require distribution couplings, distribution gears or speed increasing gears. Components of the encoder system The U-ONE Compact encoder system consists of a basic unit with directly attached function modules – the ideal solution when continuing to make use of legacy copper cabling (e. g. at modernizations). The delivery is made as an already assembled device. Advantages of the U-ONE universal encoder system The universal encoder system U-ONE(-SAFETY)-Compact enables higher system productivity: An increase in performance is achieved through fast and precise positioning as well as the optimized usage of permissible speed ranges.
