Particularly robust incremental encoders with a housing made of seawater-proof aluminium, suitable for use in wet areas of rolling mills
Safety-certified solid or hollow shaft attachment possible
Description
The incremental optical encoders FG 41 (solid shaft) / FGH 41 (hollow shaft) are extremely robust and specially designed for safety applications in heavy industry, for example in the wet area of rolling mills. The SIL-certified encoders offer a high level of safety up to SIL 2 / PL d (position-oriented) and SIL 3 / PL e (speed-oriented).
Reliable
The incremental optical encoders of the FG(H) 41 series work reliably even under extreme conditions and ensure high system availability. This avoids failures and downtimes.
Saltwater-proof, wet areas in rolling mills
Large bearings with high dynamic load rating
Shaft made of non-corroding steel
High shock and vibration resistance
Safe
Embedded in an extremely robust, thick-walled housing made of seawater-proof aluminium, the modern electronics of the incremental optical encoders are characterized by electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Up to 4096 pulses HTL / TTL
Up to 4096 sine periods
EMC cable glands
Tailor-made and comfortable
Thanks to a wide variety of device and signal options the incremental optical encoders of the FG(H) 41 series can be optimally adapted to the respective area of application. They can easily be integrated into existing mounting situations and plc systems.
Engineering support and a wide range of mechanical accessories ensure safe and precise assembly, even in difficult mounting locations.
Generously dimensioned terminal box
Connection options with a variety of connectors or cables
