Description

A thin electrode hanging from a connector cable, the KARI PEL is the ideal choice for deep-well applications and other narrow spaces. It offers versatile liquid-level control options, including stop and start functions for a pump. The KARI PEL conveys information on liquid levels to the KARI EL22 switch, which then controls the pump’s functioning in an appropriate manner. If the goal is to prevent the dry-running of a deep-well pump, the PEL electrodes are installed above the pump. The KARI EL22 then stops the pump before it starts running dry, and only allows it to re-start once the liquid surface has reached a safe level. A handy control system for a pump’s start and stop levels The KARI PEL electrode can be used to control the filling and emptying of a tank. The pump’s stop and start levels are easy to set by fixing electrodes at the levels that mark the upper and lower threshold levels for the liquid. The charging and discharging connection can easily be switched via a changeover contact. KARI HSPE – a shielded electrode cable for remote monitoring Use of the shielded KARI HSPE electrode cable is recommended for applications in which high-voltage cables run side by side with the electrode cable for more than 50 metres in drilled wells or other narrow spaces. The shielding helps ensure the proper functioning of the KARI PEL by preventing power from passing through from the high-voltage cable to the electrode cable.
