The Pitch motors are adapted to the demanding operation in wind turbine installations and have been tested under extreme climatic conditions.
The AC synchronous motors stand out for their high power density.
In combination with the latest PitchOne drive controller, they provide a broad range of rotational speeds at maximum torque.
This is achieved by the DC booster in the drive controller.
Your benefits at a glance
-Suitable for onshore and offshore installations thanks to the high corrosion protection class and special interior coating
-Adherence to the industry standard (connection system, motor flange) creates benefits for component selection
-Independent of mains voltage. This typically allows a leaner motor size.
Tradition versus PitchOne
The PitchOne DC booster makes the drive system largely independent of the available mains voltage. This allows leaner sizing of the electric powertrain consisting of the servocontroller and the motor. It is not necessary to maintain reserves for critical operating states to the extent that is required for traditional systems consisting of a mains-fed servocontroller and relatively large IEC standard motor.
The tool-assisted design the KEBA experts have created for PitchOne and the Pitch motor ensures that the performance potential of the electronic system can be utilized to the maximum. The servocontroller is configured with the optimal parameters from the start in order to provide maximum performance in the turbine. For this purpose, KEBA can also draw on modern simulation procedures and extensive test bench testing.
