The Kjelcut cutting electrode is a coated stick electrode for cutting all alloyed and unalloyed steels, non-ferrous metals, cast iron and cast steel. During the process, through the oxidation of the coating raw materials the Kjelcut develops such a high gas pressure, that the liquid base material of the workpiece is pressed out. Kjelcut is a good alternative to other simple cutting processes, such as for example cutting with an angle grinder or flame cutting, even with larger plate thicknesses. Processing without auxiliary materials and the low cost of equipment makes the cutting and piercing of holes with the Kjelcut an efficient and cost-effective solution on building sites, for processing scrap and at assembly sites.
