The special features are
the ball seat spring loading on both sides of the DE design, for the purpose of automatic pressure relief of the dead space on the upstream pressure side (automatic pressure relief when the pressure in the dead space is 2 bar higher than the upstream pressure)
the design with welding ends, which meets the operational requirement for reducing the number of flange connections and potentially limiting emissions
