Description

As part of this modular range the LM1E has been redeveloped to assist particularly with the demands posed by research and development and product development studies, while compiling to all the requirements for a routine analytical vaping machine per ISO 20768. As with all machines within the LMxE range it utilizes the high performance piston pump module PM1 with pre-installed software allowing to register the samples, to run the analysis, to display results and finally to create trend charts. It includes an integrated Ethernet interface and USB ports which serves to transmit the measured values to an external PC, or network. The PM1 offers the user the free selection of puff parameters such as puff volume, duration, frequency and puffs taken. Along with bell and rectangular puff profiles which can be selected directly from the menu, the user can define their own puff profile with varying slope gradients. Individual settings can easily be stored under a user named puffing regime beside the pre-installed ISO 20768 regime which is based on CORESTA recommended method 81 (CRM 81). In line with the larger puff volumes required for emission testing related to “Direct to Lung” DtL vaping, alongside the standard internal 150 ml syringe the PM1 can be fitted with internal 200 ml syringe. Further puff volume increases can be achieved by using the PM1 in conjunction with an external syringe. Currently these are available in volumes 200 and 600 ml, but other sizes can be supplied upon request.
