The Komatsu 835TX is optimal for thinning with its accessibility and strength. It is a lightweight forwarder, with high ground clearance and a fuel efficient engine, which all contributes to reducing the environmental impact
Tracking frame
With a tracking frame the tracking deviation is decreased by 50%. That makes the machine easier on the forest floor as it leaves narrower tracks at its minimum turning radius, enabling the operator to take narrower routes between trees. A more agile machine also reduces the risk of damage to standing trees when manoeuvring in tight spaces.
Thinning gate and Thinning bunks
The load area has been optimised for thinning with a special gate and special bunks. Both the gate and the bunks are angled 5 degrees inwards at the top to be as agile as possible in tight spaces. This reduces the risk of hitting standing trees when the machine sways from side to side in uneven terrain
Excellent visibility in all directions
In thinning, it is extra important that the driver has a good overview of both the surrounding forest and where the machine is in relation to each individual tree. That is why the visibility in the Komatsu 835TX, as in all Komatsu forwarders, is excellent in all directions - as well over the hood and down towards the wheels as over the load space and tree tops. This allows the driver to feel safe not to damage any remaining stock
New, slim hood design
The new hood design for the smaller forwarders is more streamlined, with a modern shape. It has the same feeling as the bigger forwarders but in a smaller format
A crane that makes the job easy
Our forwarder cranes have a unique design and are 100% optimized for Komatsu forwarders
