Overview
The KAR is a round trough feeder that can supply up to six makers running at 14,000 cpm. The suction pipes are located around a circular trough, which uses a patented motion principle combining lateral and vertical oscillations to produce a gentle fluidizing effect. As soon as a cigarette maker demands tobacco, motion commences and the tobacco is propelled towards the conveying pipeline. A sensor is used to determine the level of tobacco in the trough. The feed conveyor speed is varied to keep the layer of tobacco in the trough at a virtually constant level.
