Description

The Topas S5 is a 5-axis milling and engraving equipment manufactured by Kuhlmann. It is especially made for the manufacturing of 3D precision milling parts and molds. For processing of complex work pieces, the milling spindle is slew positioned in the B-axis ± 90°. The S5 can be optionally provided with RTCP (Rotating Tool Center Point). A rotary table in the C-axis provides a possibility of holding work pieces straight, or through a zero point clamping system. Loading out of a tool magazine can be effected fully automated. The unit is suitable for use in molds, electrodes, prototypes, dies, rolls, embossing dies and serial parts. Furthermore, it is built from steel up to 63 HRC, non-ferrous metal, aluminum, stainless and plastics.
