The handy thread file is used for manual reworking and cleaning of damaged internal and external threads on technical components such as screws, bolts, axles or shafts. The file is also used to repair external threads where dies cannot be used or are not available. The thread file has a total of eight different pitches, allowing different thread diameters to be machined. The KUKKO range includes the right thread file for the four common thread types DIN-ISO, Whitworth + BSF, SAE/UNF and Whitworth/pipe thread.
Area of application

Different pitches enable the machining of different thread sizes
Expensive, complex to manufacture components can be repaired quickly
Operation
Select a suitable pitch that is compatible with the damaged thread
Gently move the thread file back and forth until the damage is removed
Thoroughly clean the spindle of any metal residue and grease it before using it again
