The V-91A000 / V-91B000-series are high frequency VCXOs showing Phase Noise performance similar to OCXOs. The V-91A000-series provides a LVHMCOS output signal @ 3.3V supply voltage, whereas the V-91B000-series offers a true sinewave output with +10dBm output power @ 5 v supply.
The overall stability including initial tolerance, frequency stability vs. temperature range, vs. supply voltage changes, vs. load changes and aging for 10 years is less than ±25 ppm for frequencies up to 125 MHz and less than ±30 ppm for frequencies above to 125 MHz. The frequency control range is larger than ±30 ppm respectively ±35 ppm. Hence there is an Absolute Pulling Range (APR) of more than ±5 ppm what guarantees that the oscillator will kept locked to nominal frequency under all conditions and all over life time.
Utilizing such a 100 MHz low Phase Noise VCXO phase-locked to a low noise tight stability 10 MHz OCXO like KVG’s low Phase Noise OCXO O-30 series provides the benefits of both devices: the good overall frequency stability and excellent close to the carrier Phase Noise performance of the 10 MHz OCXO device and for offset frequencies above 1 kHz the low power and excellent Phase Noise of the 100 MHz VCXO device.
