The Hugger Belt Clamshell Labeling System is a product of the Label-Aire's. A baked good producer from the east coast wanted to outdo its competitor by replacing its age old labeling system with a much faster unit that will accurately apply top/bottom decorative and nutritional labels thus clearing the clamshell containers for a major retail chain. The customer was looking for an increased throughput and an accurate label application. These were the specific needs which could not be delivered by their labeling setup. The Hugger Belt labeling system came with a transport system for easy product transfer. The custom labeling system is made of stainless steel and anodized aluminum along with a pair of Label-Aire 3115 Wipe-On label applicators. The containers come at a speed of 70 products per minute. The system can adapt to higher speeds when needed, while maintaining the label placement accuracy of +/- 1/32" (.8 mm). Label-Aire was able to provide the customer with a much cost effective solution, all thanks to the increased throughput. With these, both their volumes as well as their customers will increase.
