The MicroMag™ 2900 Series AGM is a powerful system for measuring the magnetic properties of a vast range of materials. Extremely high sensitivity (10 nemu rms—corresponding to less than 50 pg of iron) and speed of measurement (10 ms/point), combined with compact design and ease of use result in a system as well-suited to production test and quality control as it is to basic research.
The MicroMag™ system accommodates all types of samples (up to 5 × 5 × 2 mm: 200 mg mass): solids, ultra thin films, powders, liquids and even slurries. Applications include measurements of magnetic recording media, MRAM, GMR and TMR heads, amorphous metals, rare earth magnets, high temperature superconductors, nanomagnets, weak ferrofluids, biological specimens, toner material, magneto-optic devices, paleomagnetic samples and very weak diamagnetic and paramagnetic materials.
Included in the system are a modern personal computer, comprehensive Windows® based operating software and color printer. The MicroMag™ is available with a 2 in or 4 in laboratory electromagnet, each powered by a fast four-quadrant power supply, all under computer control.
