Fiber Laser Windows 12”x12” OD6+@1070nm Our Fibre Laser Windows are good value eye protection, offering high optical clarity and good visible light transmission (VLT) while blocking dangerous fibre laser wavelengths in the range 960 to 1400nm. Our testing shows extremely high OD or blocking performance at 1064nm (Q-switch JPT and other marking lasers for example), and also at the important 1070 to 1085nm wavelength range. They are made from the same polymer as green laser glases we use in othe countries, but are far thicker. That thickness provides a considerable increase in protection over laser glasses, so these windows are extremely safe at normal exposure distances. Windows are important to protect everyone outside your welding area, while allowing unprotected personnel to observe or monitor staff inside. We offer other sizes on request, but this 12″x12inch x 5mm thickness is suitable for many door or similar applications. This window is certified and marked to EN 12254:2010 which means they are tested for Resistance to Laser Radiation in addition to their blocking performance. The windows are designed to protect the user from: – unintentional exposure to direct and/or diffuse laser radiation; – a time limited exposure to laser radiation, based on the functional requirements determined by risk assessment.
