LaserLincs dual-axis scanning laser micrometers range from the compact TLAser203™, with its .00158˝ 080˝ (40µm 2mm) measurement range to the large and rugged TLAser2120™, which can measure parts up to 4.72" (120mm) at up to 8,000 scans per second.
Why Does My Application Need Dual-Axis Gauging?
For applications such as offline measurement of extruded tubing, or measurement of gage pins (also called go/no-go plug gages), quality or process engineers require more than one measurement; with a dual-axis gauge, you dont have to rotate the product to take the second measurementyour dual-axis device can perform both measurements simultaneously.
With rectangular product, if both sides need to be measured, a dual-axis gauge is ideal because when you align an axis of the gauge to measure one side of the rectangular product, the other axis is automatically positioned and aligned to measure the other side, eliminating extra work and ensuring accurate width and thickness measurements.
