Description

Coating KOCO® - The first semi-continuous coater In 2011, L.B. Bohle has launched the first semi-continuous coater. The process was optimized by using modified drums, more nozzles and increased drying air to allow quick and high-quality reproduction of all coating applications using the Bohle KOCO®. Furthermore, the coater is automatically filled and discharged resulting in uninterrupted operation and with no manual intervention required by the user, i.e. continuously. The benefits of the Bohle KOCO® Coater are the ease-of-use and the high coating quality of the tablets. Hence, L.B. Bohle is the top technological leader. Fastest throughput times and high uniformity of suspension are also possible, with a tolerance deviation of less than three percent. This high accuracy is particularly decisive for tablets where the suspension film either contains a substance or where there is a time-limited release of the protection cover for the substance. At the same time, the innovative nozzle arrangement significantly reduces spray loss as well as suspension application. With spray loss of less than five percent, the usual values are reduced by approx. one third. This benefit results in significant saving potential with regard to the high raw material prices.
