Belt conveyors TP (flat section belt) and TC (concave section belt) are employed to convey loose material. They are suitable for transport on short and long distances of even very abrasive materials with high moisture content.
The belt conveyor structure is made up of a belt with modular components in shaped sheet with stiffening ribs on which the ring supporting rollers are fastened.
The rollers configuration can vary according to the characteristics of the materials to convey. The ring is usually made of synthetic cloths coated with smooth rubber even if, for specific uses, rings with special features can be installed.
The two ends of the belt conveyor are made up of the draft head and the return head. The driving unit is installed on one head, generally the draft one. According to the needs, it can be made up of a coaxial motor reducer with motion transmission by means of chain and pinions or by pendular reducer connected directly on the drum-holding shaft and motion transmission by means of pulleys and trapezoidal belts.
