The HV 5 series is a line of vickers hardness testers suitable for use in determining the vickers steel hardness, non-ferrous metals and ceramic and treated layers of the surface of metal being processed. The tool can be used in different areas of applications, such as cemented carbide, steels, ceramics, non-ferrous metals, thin plates, metallic foils and plating. This equipment can also be applied in operations involving material strength, effect of heat treatment, depth of carburized or decarburized layer and flame hardened layer and effect of hardening. In addition, these tools feature load dwell time and automatic unloading. The series adopts the digital microscopes with an adjustable LED illuminator. The operator or user does not need to read the detail length of the indentation.
