Detented shuttle valves are designed with a mechanically latched poppet that can close off one of the two inlet ports. This design is typically used in brake systems where bi-directional flow may be required between either of the inlet ports and the outlet port. Detented shuttle valves are also of the “non-interflow” type. Zero leak versions are also available.
This miniature shuttle valve is only .281” in diameter and .94” in length. This shuttle valve incorporates a detent mechanism that can latch the poppet at either of the inlet ports. This is beneficial when bi-direction flow is needed in either poppet position. It is ideal for applications with flow rates up to 7.2 gpm.
