Ex-proof absolute encoders The ATEX- and IECEx-certified stainless steel absolute encoder models 647 and 648 are available with hollow shaft and solid shaft. With their robust construction and inductive scanning, these absolute encoders work well also when subjected to vibrations, moisture, salt water, dirt, heat and cold, or shock from strong mechanical forces. Model 647 is a singleturn encoder and model 648 is a multiturn encoder. The models are available with SSI and EnDat signal output as well as PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, and PROFIBUS interfaces. Certifications include high level of protection in atmospheres with gas and dust, zone 1/21.
