PULTRUDED GRP-GRATINGS
Pultruded gratings are a composite of fiberglass reinforcements (fibers and mat) and a thermosetting resin system, produced by the pultrusion process. The profile system convinces with a high strength and stiffness. The relative light gratings with their highly fire resistance characteristics can be used in far-reaching applications. Furthermore, the coated surface provides additional corrosion resistance and UV protection.
CHARACTERISTICS
certified several times
fire safety (nonflammable)
high chemical resistance
very low electrical conductivity
easy installation and processing ofther gratings
high longevity
high form stability
These phenolic pultruded grating is worldwide the only GRP grating, which meets the current norm of the US CoastGuard (level 2 (L2)) and the ASTM F3059-15. ASTM F3059 isthe standard specification for glassfiber reinforced polymer(GRP) gratings used in marine construction and shipbuildingand the basis for U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Type Approval forGRP grating. The ASTM F3059 standard is an enhancementto, and expected replacement for, the existing worldwidestandards for fiberglass gratings (including USCG PFM 2-98).
