The Nema 17 Damper model is manufactured by Line Engineering, and is a motor damper that has an inertia which makes the rotor oscillate. There is a natural back and forth movement which can contribute to the erratic movement of motors. There is also a reduced step response time can eventually result in more enhanced motor performance. It has a settling time of 0.5 s with the damper, and 0.05 s without the use of a damper. It also has an inertia of 11.71 gm-cm, which has a shaft size of 5 mm.
