Description

Inertia Dynamometer To support manufacturer requirements to shift testing capacity from the test track to the test laboratory, systems are tightly designed to reproduce actual conditions experienced on the vehicle. Shaft-type inertia brake dynamometers are designed for durability, wear, performance, and NVH testing applications. Typical add-on sub systems include environmental control chambers, static torque/low speed motor assemblies, DTV and residual drag measurement systems, water and dust spray, as well as thermal imaging. Chassis Dynamometer Chassis type dynamometers are offered in both single and dual axle configurations. NVH chassis dynamometers isolate the vehicle from the dynamometer and surrounding facility to offer capability to analyze vehicle noise and vibration characteristics. Setups typically are integrated within full- or hemi-anechoic chambers for NVH testing and thermally insulated chambers for environmental testing. These high precision systems allow for full vehicle testing under controlled environmental conditions.
