Spark Gap circuit elements are circuit elements that are not intended to be in direct contact, but are used to equipotentialize conductive surfaces that are desired to be connected when overvoltages occur.
It is connected between two circuits / surfaces in circuits / surfaces isolated from each other.
When overvoltage occurs, two circuits / surfaces are instantly connected to each other by providing transmission with the help of the jump gap located on the Spark Gap and inside a tube.
When the overvoltage is damped, the Spark Gap returns to its initial state and disconnects the circuit.
According to this;
1. For connecting the Lightning Protection Systems and the grounding lines of the Building / Facility,
2. Spark Gap circuit elements can be used in similar connections such as indirect bridging of insulation flanges and insulation glands in potentially explosive areas, cathodic and corrosion protected systems.
