Safe heating of gas bottles, even in hazardous areas Ideal for gentle warming and to avoid winter freezing LMK Thermosafe are pleased to announce their hazardous area heating jackets for gas bottles. These ATEX Zone 1 and 2 rated heating jackets are ideal for gentle warming or to avoid winter freezing. They are constructed with a silicone coated glass cloth outer and high density fibreglass insulation. Safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases. No transformers are required as they operate using a standard 240v ac supply. The InteliHeat Flexiplus Gas Bottle Heating Jackets are designed to fit around type K gas bottles and other bottles of a similar size. Other sizes of heating jacket for other containers are also available. A self limiting temperature of around 30°C above the ambient temperature will be maintained on the gas bottle wall when operated at 240v (with a 20°C ambient temperature, the gas bottle wall temperature will be around 50°C). If lower temperatures are required, the heating jacket may be fitted with a thermostat (0-50°C), allowing the user to reduce the heating jacket temperature. The thermostat must be adjusted whilst the jacket is situated within a safe area.
