The new Rasant® Steel tap from LMT Fette combines a multitude of innovations that are specially tailored to the requirements in steel processing. A newly developed geometry and a coating designed for steel processing achieves significantly longer tool life. Furthermore, with our new development you can produce 3 x D deep blind holes reliably. The new Rasant® Steel is also characterized by a very good chip evacuation, due to the new geometry. Bird’s nests are largely avoided. In addition, an improved surface quality in the thread is achieved. The program is available in all common dimensions from stock. The main applications of the Rasant® Steel tap are in general engineering. The Rasant® Steel tap is designed for steel processing (P1 to P2, up to 1100 N/mm2).
