Standard Euro containers
The standard base for the Euro containers is 200×150 mm, 300×200 mm, 400×300 mm (the so-called ‘half sizes’), and 600×400 mm, 800×600 mm (‘full sizes’). The height varies, depending on the model.
Their standardized base fits with 1200×800 mm euro pallets, and also the 800×600 mm half pallets. They can be moved around with dollies or trolleys, and are compatible with shelves, conveyor lines, Kanban systems, etc.
Sporting standard dimensions, the KLT boxes are extremely easy to implement, as there will be no extra measurements needed or compatibility tests. Therefore, they can be integrated straightaway into the logistic process.
KLT boxes are modular – their standardized dimensions facilitate effortless stacking in an interchangeable manner. Different-sized bases can be mixed onto a larger base (smaller and bigger bases can be combined as long as the dimensions respect the Euro standard). Likewise, crates of different heights can be arranged to form a steady and secure stack.
The Euro standard also contributes to a smooth workflow by eliminating some of the time-consuming procedures related to inventory, picking up assembly lines, etc.
These types of containers are most common all across the industry and offer a wide range of features that can be adapted as needed. They can be equipped with closed or open handles, closed or ventilated bases, internal dunnage, label holders, hinged or loose lids, etc.
