These furnace plants are the true classics for the heat treatment of medium-sized to large series of high-quality and/or safety-relevant forgings with unit weights of max. 3,000 kg – e.g. of railway wheels for high-speed trains with speeds far beyond 300 km/h or of armatures for the oil and gas industry.
They feature a fully automatic execution of the complete process chain from heating to quenching resp. hardening: manipulators ensure the transportation of the forgings from station to station.
Regarding the treatment of railway wheels with single weights of 200 – 1,300 kg, the furnace plants achieve a throughput of max. 120 pieces/hour. Due to their flexible parameter settings, the requirements of nearly every international standard can be met.
Since the mathematical model integrated in the process guidance is able to compute in advance the cooling parameters in a targeted manner, all forgings meet the required specifications right away, even after a product change
