The Single-Coil annealing SCL provides a flexible solution for the heat treatment of coiled Aluminum strip. Single coils fully automatically can undergo their specific processing from storage to storage. This solution offers flexibility to the production with frequently changing requests for individual strips or if specific processing is applicable to only a small lot of strips.
For bigger lots the same furnace technology is applicable as Multi-Coil Annealing Line MCL.
The plant consists of several furnaces in line, which operate independently with a common charging system. The Single-Coil Lifting Hearth Furnaces SCL are loaded by the charging machine, which moves under the furnaces. From a central charging and discharging station the charging machine takes the coil and transfers it to the individual chamber. Each furnace unit is loaded with one coil only.
The furnace system is working with electric or natural gas heating. With fuel heating the burners are installed in δ-tubes, which allow indirect heating of the furnace atmosphere. The recuperative burners are equipped with heat exchangers for heating the incoming combustion air by the outgoing flue gas.
The furnaces are gas tight for processing the strips in inert gas atmosphere. For complete burning of adhering rolling oil, which evaporates during heating up the strip, the furnace line can be equipped with a thermal oxidizer.
With Single-Coil annealing there is no need for complex batch assembly, considering coils of the same size, alloy composition and annealing program.
For bigger batches of similar coils, the Multi-Coil Annealing Line MCL is the right choice. Here the furnaces are loaded with a batch
